Welcome to my new bloggity-blog! ...This is fun... Kinda reminds me of Xanga (R.I.P.) for some reason.
Anywho... for whatever reason, you've found my new storm chasing blog---probably because you're really bored, and you want to experience the excitement of life vicariously through me.
This blog will resemble a mixture of meteorology, random thoughts, road-induced insanity, and of course, pictures and video of my storm intercepts. My goal is to basically share this experience with whoever may be interested... hopefully you will be entertained and maybe even learn something.
But anyway, let me give you a little background about myself and my hobby. Ever since I was a wee little lad, I've had a fascination with meteorology... and especially storms. For almost as long as I've loved weather, I've had the dream of chasing one of nature's most fierce phenomena. And this spring, I will be living out that dream with a 10 to 14 day storm chasing vacation.
I will be departing on the 23rd or 24th of May to who-knows-where with a group of acquaintances and meteorology students from New York. We'll be driving in a 3-car caravan, and hopefully all three cars will come back looking the same. *crosses fingers*
So I will be updating this blog occasionally before the trip and semi-regularly during the trip.
